Earlier this week we got word from Dayton that several library projects had earned LEED certification.

On the 17th, Dayton Metro Library noted that the Northwest and Vandalia libraries – collaborations with Dayton-based Ruetschle Architecture were awards LEED Gold certification. As did New Lebanon Library, with a LEED Silver being awarded to Brookville Library – both collaborations with Miamisburg, OH, based John Poe Architects.

DML Executive Director Tim Kambitsch added:

Sustainability and environmental friendliness have been identified as priorities by participants at many of our community listening sessions. It is also another way to demonstrate our commitment to ensuring tax dollars are spent wisely.”
