The U.S. Department of State recognizes Chula Vista Public Library branch as Passport Facility of the Year

Earlier this week the United States Department of State named a library their 2017 National Passport Acceptance Facility of the Year. That library is the Chula Vista Public Library Community HUB located in the Otay Ranch shopping center. A City of Chula Vista press release noted how the library’s amenities, thoughtfulness, and charm made it a notoriously convenient place to process passport requests:

Since its opening in 2015, the Otay Ranch Library Passport Acceptance Facility has built a reputation of being a warm, welcoming environment that assists all members of the public easily through the passport application process. The unique location – near the food court at the Otay Ranch Town Center – allows applicants to enjoy a family friendly location with access to dining, rides for children and retail shopping.

The library’s passport agents process an impressive number of passports here, and the library even offers passport-themed programming around world travel, including a Little Passports story time.

We’re pleased to have worked with CVPL and the City to create a library that has made such a noticeable beneficial impact on its community.
