BLVD Recreation Center

Dublin, CA

The BLVD Recreation Center is a central gathering place for a new residential neighborhood in Dublin, serving as a community amenity for both day-to-day use and for private events. A large central courtyard includes a recreational pool and outdoor pavilions supporting both pool and interior spaces. The center’s wings establish a strong street presence, especially along Sterling Street, the neighborhood’s primary access road.

Overlapping roof angles create a welcoming and clearly-defined entrance, while open breezeways serve as secondary entrances and glimpses to the pool and outdoor spaces. Spaces are organized into programmatic zones allowing simultaneous recreational uses and formal and informal activities.
